About the artist
Regina Scully lives and paints in the Holy Cross neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Scully was born in Norfolk, Virginia and received her B.F.A. in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her M.F.A. in Painting from University of New Orleans.
Scully is a recipient of the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant Award in 2017. Her solo exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art opened April 6th and was on view through October 15th. Titled Inner Journeys, the exhibition displayed Scully’s paintings alongside Japanese landscape paintings from the Nanga period, encouraging a unique and open conversation about the intuitive and intellectual connections between bodies of work from different times and places.
Scully’s solo exhibition at C24 Gallery in New York extended the ideas she presented at NOMA and can be explored more through the link below.
